Portfield School Sixth Form Students
CLAC Day 13 in the splendid surroundings of the Kings Arms Pavilion where guests were served with mulled wine, mince pies and hot chestnuts.
MC Rotary President, Peter Boardman, opened the evening by introducing tonight’s charity ‘Autism Unlimited’ whose Chairman, Lesley Longstone gave a brief introduction to the evening’s entertainment by a group from the Portfield School Sixth Form.
We were treated to many familiar and some original songs from Leon, Archie, Evan and Ashton plus Matt the musician in residence all enthusiastically received by the appreciative audience.
At the end of the entertainment Autism Unlimited were presented with a cheque for £1,000 from tonight’s Sponsor Christchurch Charitable Trust. Lesley Longstone thanked everyone for their support especially The Primrose Trust. The evening concluded with a splendid raffle.
Autism Unlimited exists to support and empower autistic children, adults and their families. We partner with them to find solutions and provide educational and life skills training.
