A buzzing Thomas Tripp hosted the 21st event of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar.
Susie Kimber, accompanied by saxophonist Ian Close, entertained the packed bar with a popular mix of upbeat numbers including some Queen, Billy Ocean, ABBA and Lionel Richie to name a few. Popular Christmas songs were also included. She had her audience bopping, clapping and singing along.

Joint sponsors for the evening, Gervis Accountants and the Primrose Trust, presented Sue from Christchurch Cancer Research with a cheque for £500. All money donated goes to the research centre in Southampton.

MC Peter Boardman thanked everyone for supporting the evening, The Primrose Trust as the events’ main sponsors and Rotarian Jan Banks and the CLAC team for organising.

You can be confident that all money raised by Cancer Research UK will be spent wisely as 80p out of every £1 donated goes directly towards the life-saving work of preventing and curing all cancers.  The remaining 20p is reinvested in fundraising where we get back £4 for every £1 we spend.  With over 200 different types of cancer the research to find successful outcomes for people with cancer is vital.  Compared with 40 years ago, cancer survival rates have doubled, and our work has been at the heart of that progress.

Known for her captivating smooth voice, Susie Kimber is a soulful female singer-songwriter. Susie released her debut original single earlier this year to much acclaim and extensive radio play both locally and nationally, and regularly performs live at stunning venues across the South Coast.
