CLAC day 18 was at Ye Olde George Inn. Our sponsors this evening were The Primrose Trust and the chosen charity National Coastwatch Institution (NCI). The entertainment was provided by “Elvis”.
Anne Cooke welcomed everyone and introduced Peter Holway who explained the work of NCI. Elvis then had the audience singing and swaying to such classics as Blue suede shoes, Its now or never and Viva Las Vegas.
Kelvin Medley- Jones of The Primrose Trust presented a cheque for £500 to NCI and the raffle arranged by NCI was drawn. Anne then thanked Ye Olde George Inn for hosting the evening, Elvis for his wonderful entertainment, The Primrose Trust for sponsoring the evening and being the prime sponsors of CLAC & the organising committee from Christchurch Rotary led by Jan Banks. Day 19 of CLAC tomorrow will be at Loch and Quay at 6pm.

Watchkeepers are “eyes along the coast” for HM Coastguard. NCI Working for you. We maintain a watch from Barton-on-Sea in the east, through Christchurch and Poole Bays, and 12 miles out to sea round to Bournemouth pier in the west. The Headland is 36 metres (118) feet high and separates Christchurch bay from Poole Bay.
