Tonight’s performance at The Boathouse
Despite being another very cold evening we enjoyed some wonderful entertainment at The Boathouse.
The many twinkling lights added to the Christmassy feel along with warm mince pies and enthusiastic audience including several elves! The entertainers and the charity tonight were Autism Unlimited and were introduced by Executive Director Donna Wearn. For a second year running Autism Unlimited produced an enchanting performance given by two young and very talented singers.
The sponsor for the evening was Little Lives UK and a cheque for £500 was presented to Carol Borwick with Donna thanking all concerned.
The Boathouse contributed one of the raffle prizes in support of the event.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the King’s Arms Pavilion.

Autistic Inspiration!
Our pop up performance opened with Leon – a Sixth Form student at Portfield School who, in the last four years, has taught himself to play the guitar by watching YouTube clips. He aspires to become a singer/songwriter, or work in the music industry. Leon sang a cover version of Elton’s John’s ‘Your Song’ and a song he has written called ‘Shine In My Mind’.
Nevaeh, a 13 year old singer/songwriter is also the proud Child Ambassador for Autism Unlimited and very passionate about spreading and promoting the good work and support the charity provides. Nevaeh herself is Autistic, Epileptic and Dyslexic – but she doesn’t let that get in her way of her ultimate dream to be a worldwide recognised artist. Nevaeh not only performed a couple of Christmas songs but began by singing her new original song, ‘Inside and Out’, launched in support of anti-bullying week; through the song she expresses her feelings on how important it is to treat people equally and not to judge people’s abilities.
