Highlights of the event
The third window of the Advent Calendar opened on Saturday 3rd December at The Baptist Church in Bargates when MLC Acoustic entertained the audience with a festive selection of tunes.
Tonight’s sponsor, the Christchurch Community Trust, was delighted to present a cheque to Sandra Prudom of Christchurch Community Partnership.

More about the surprise performers:
MLC Acoustic
MLC was created in 2019 by 3 friends, Andy, David & James who all sing together in the Funky Little Choir. With no ambition other than to have some fun, following a few songs around a campfire we were invited to play at a wedding for some friends and have been gigging solidly since then. Post Covid, 2021 & 2022 have seen us playing at numerous events including weddings, birthdays, parties, and festivals like Dorset Volksfest & Vdub at the Pub.
Throughout the winter months we can be found regularly at the Snug in Christchurch which is one of our favourite places to play. We aim to play songs that everybody knows but without playing the same songs as other bands.
You can find out when we’re playing and follow us on Instagram at mlc_acoustic_trio
Tonight’s charity – all funds raised will go to:
Christchurch Community Partnership
The CCP exists to combat social isolation across the age demographic in our community of Christchurch. We do this in two ways – by directly delivering services, and by influencing other organisations and agencies to work collaboratively to identify and fill any gaps, and to avoid duplication of services.
Also including Christchurch Angels: We are an award-winning voluntary befriending service for residents in the Christchurch area who need short-term help in times of difficulty or crisis.
