Christchurch's Saxon Square by Chris Downer

Today’s final performance in Saxon Square

The final performance of CLAC 2022 took place in Saxon Square this afternoon when the U3A Vintage Brass Band played a full set of seasonal and other tunes. The crowd joined in singing along with the carols and generously supported the raffle organised by Rotary for the various Rotary charities.

Our thanks go to Adam Coshan, the deputy Town Cryer and Cllr Charrett, the deputy mayor who closed the programme. And then the rain came.

We look forward to your support for CLAC 2023.

Christchurch U3A Vintage Band

We are a brass band within Christchurch u3a. We play a variety of styles from traditional brass band classics to big band-style swing and we give performances throughout the year, often raising funds for local charities.

Our programme included familiar carols and popular Christmas songs and music, all especially arranged for brass.
