La Nova Singers –
5th December’s surprise performers!
La Nova Singers performed extracts from their upcoming Christmas concert, featuring festive favourites with a classical choral twist. Songs included ‘Jingle Bells’ and ’Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, finishing with “the nation’s favourite Christmas carol”, ‘O Holy Night’.
La Nova Singers were led by the conductor and musical director Michelle Nova.
Liz Carter on behalf of The Water Lily Project received a cheque from Peter Watson-Lee and Rotarian Clare Cherry (Trustees of Christchurch Charitable Trust)
Excellent hospitality was provided by The Boathouse, organised by manager Simon Bennette.

The Water Lily Project is a registered Christian charity that predominantly supports vulnerable women in crisis. This may be a temporary crisis such as an acrimonious divorce, bereavement, illness etc. Or it could be something more long term such as mental health issues, self-harming, domestic violence and abuse, addiction or financial difficulties.

Award-winning women’s choir La Nova Singers bring some of the world’s most beautiful music to life, in glorious surround-sound. The Bournemouth-based choir sings an eclectic repertoire of classical, operatic and modern choral music; and has become known for their powerful sound and sparkling stage presence. The singers are conducted by soprano and musical director Michelle Nova, and accompanied by pianist Christine Langton.
